TPoX stands for “Transaction Processing over XML” and is an XML database benchmark that Intel and IBM developed several years ago and then released as open source. A couple of months ago, the project published some new results. (http://nativexmldatabase.com/2011/03/04/new-tpox-benchmark-results-available/) To learn more about this I interviewed the main leaders of the TPoX project, Dr. Matthias Nicola, Senior engineer for DB2 at IBM and Dr. Agustin Gonzalez, Senior Staff Software Engineer at Intel® Corporation.
